Gather items that are necessary to stay safe during a day hike. Depending on troop size, you need to have the same number of each item as number of teams you will have. For example, if you have 15 scouts, I would recommend 3 teams of 5. In that example you would need 3 of each item. Gather some items that are not needed for trail safety as decoys.
